Button Bar Wood/Emma
Emma (Button Bar Wood) is a 2008, 15.1 HH, AQHA smutty buckskin mare. Pretty Emma is dark during the Winter (smutty) but lightens to a golden buckskin in Summer. Emma has low ringbone on her RF which affects the joint between the coffin bone and the short pastern bone, just within the top of the hoof wall. (The lump can be seen and felt.) Joint injections and Osteo-MAX worked originally, but no more. Emma no longer carries riders to avoid any lameness issues. Bute daily and front shoes keep her sound. Emma is well-trained and was a trail horse for the family and their kids for years. Her ground manners are excellent, and she is not an in-your-face horse. As most horses, Emma is leery of new places, sounds and objects. She tends towards the top of the herd and is particularly protective of her 41 year old herd mate. Emma is great for the farrier and vet and will exit a trailer headfirst if possible. The name Emma carries a legacy of strength and elegance, and Emma exemplifies those qualities. She is a sweet, treat-loving horse looking for a new life partner who will let her be all that she can be in a safe, loving and pain-free environment. Please be the match for Emma!
