DUKE + HITCH:

BATTLE SCARS

"I want to have time to look for my children, and see how many of them I can find.   Maybe I shall find them among the dead. Hear me, my Chiefs! I am tired; my heart is sick and sad.  From where the sun now stands I will fight no more forever."

Chief Joseph - Thunder Traveling to the

Loftier Mountain Heights - 1877

Life has been one long battle for survival for these two old Mustang stallions.  They have lived in the wild before being gathered and released in a private sanctuary--which ultimately failed them.

Old and blind, they wore their vulnerability on their hide--covered with scars from battles fought and lost, these two blind warriors still survived--together.

Their loyal friendship and survival spirit made it essential to find a place they could be together for life.  Just the two of them with no one to fight with them, control them or leave them behind.

They are safe, they are certain.  They will fight no more forever.
